How to Sell Products on Facebook Marketplace?
The very first thing you need to have is a Facebook page. Let’s suppose that you are a complete beginner and you wish to learn it all step-by-step.
So, come along and understand how to sell products on Facebook marketplace. Now, in order to make a Facebook page, you need to click on the top right corner of Facebook where a drop-down button is present.
Click on the Manage Pages button and you’ll land on a page where in the right-hand section, you’ll get a button that says, “+ Create a Page.”
After this, you’ll land upon a new page that can help you make a Facebook page for a Brand/Business or Community/Public Figure.
So, these are the types of Facebook pages that you can make. Now, let’s start with a Business or Brand.
Enter the Page Name and select the Category. in which you want to make a Facebook page.
Let’s fill out the details.
Once you’re done, click on Continue.
Now, add a profile picture.
Now, make sure that the minimum size approved by Facebook for its profile picture is 180×180 pixels. And the ideal Facebook profile picture size is 360×360 pixels.
And then upload a cover picture of size 820×312 pixels.
Now that you have done that, your Facebook page is all set.
This is now the time to set up shop on Facebook.
Now click on the Settings button in the top right corner of your screen.
Then select the Templates and Tabs option in the left-hand side panel.
Here, you may get a predefined option that says: Shop. In case you don’t see the option that says Shop, then you can add that by clicking on Add a Tab option.
In case you are not able to see that Shop button on your Facebook page despite having this option here, click on the Settings button in front of the Shop option.
Switch the Show Shop tab button to ON.
Once it is done, you can start seeing your Shop tab on your Facebook page.
Now, it’s time for us to add products to our Facebook shop.
When you visit your Facebook page, click on the Shop button and you’ll be asked to set up your shop section and agree to Facebook Merchant Terms and Policies.
Check the box in front of I agree to the Merchant Terms and Policies and click on Continue.
Now, a pop-up will appear that asks you to select a checkout method.
Chose any option that suits you.
Then a pop-up will appear that will ask you to save the currency in which you operate.
Once, you’re done with this step, you’re almost done understanding how to sell on Facebook. After this, all you have to do is enter products in your inventory and start selling them.
Now, after this step, you will directly enter your Facebook Shop.
Once you enter your store, go to Add Product and start entering products in your inventory.
Now, you can add products by entering the following details that you see in the image below.
You need to have a clear product image that shows your product very specifically.
Give your product a name, enter its price, write a brief description and give the link to your landing page where the user can check out the product.
If the product is on sale, then you can turn on the tab right next to it and enter the price on which the product is available right now.
For instance, let’s add a product to our catalog and see what it looks like.
You can also enter details like that. Make sure you write clear information in the product description and you abide by the rules and policies laid down by Facebook for this purpose.
Once you click on Save, your product can be seen in the Shop section of your Facebook page.
Once it gets approved, your audience can check out the product.
The Processing option will not remain over there once your product gets approved by Facebook.
So, this is how will you be selling on Facebook marketplace with the FB Shop option. It is a freeway of selling on Facebook. This doesn’t take any extra money. All you need is a product and that you are abiding by the rules and policies laid down by Facebook.
